Indoor Positioning System

Emergency calls aren’t like what you see in the movies…

When an emergency call reaches a dispatch center in the United States, and that call is coming from a smartphone, the dispatcher often has very little, if any, specific location info to give to first responders.

This means that if the caller cannot speak for whatever reason, help may never reach their location… a scary thought in the world of advanced technology we live in today.

The reason for all of this? The current 9-1-1 infrastructure was built with landlines in mind. Calling 9-1-1 from a smartphone often approximates the caller’s location based on what cell tower the call is sent to. First responders do the best they can with what they’ve got, but usually budgets don’t include recreating the 9-1-1 communication system. We’ve spent enough time in law enforcement to understand these issues… and we’ve built a solution…

Location Accuracy Like No Other…

Our Indoor Positioning System (IPS) technology can pinpoint an emergency caller down to the floor and room number, even if they’re unable to speak. And there is absolutely no additional hardware required to use our IPS. Every one of our products works on the cloud, hosted on our own servers… so you don’t have to worry about expensive hardware installation.

Don’t Take Our Word For It…

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), a federal agency with the goal of enabling innovation through improvement of measurements, tested our IPS location accuracy and found that it far exceeded FCC location accuracy requirements all the way through year 2021…

Here’s the official report from NIST
