Why should I download my public safety app?

Your public safety app helps directly connect you with local first responders. If you need emergency assistance, you can press the Emergency Button to contact local responders with accurate location information. You can also report service needs directly to the correct department. The app also keeps you up to date with community events, news and resources. Important notifications about your community will also be sent directly to you.

Does the app cost money?

The app is free to download and to use. Standard phone and data charges may apply if you place an emergency call.

Why do you need my phone number to register?

The basic profile information is shared with friends, family or dispatchers / first responders if you ever need help! The secure PIN is used to access / change profile information and also to de-activate tracking after an emergency feature has been activated.

Does the app track my location?

The safety app ONLY tracks your location when you press the emergency button. You can stop this tracking anytime by entering your secure PIN. The app never passively tracks your location or allows safety forces to see your whereabouts without you signaling for assistance.

Can I use the app anywhere?

Yes, the app can be used anywhere. If you press the Emergency Button outside of your city, then your call will be directed to 911. If you submit a tip or service request from outside of your city, it will still be sent to your city police or the proper department.
